Of the total case counts of COVID-19 Public Health Sudbury and Districts are reporting 5-new cases. That said, of the active 48 cases, 38 have tested positive for a variant of concern.
Meanwhile the North Bay Parry Sound district Health Unit is reporting one new case of COVID-19 in the Nipissing Distrcit and 2 cases resolved.
While all schools in the catchment area of Public Health Sudbury are now learning from home, but there is still a COVID-19 outbreaks and several more cases. In a letter dated March 14, the Rainbow District School Board said a third person from Lockerby Composite School had tested positive for COVID-19. As of this morning, there were 39 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in area schools, and six active outbreaks.
Meanwhile, Four more residents of Central and East Algoma have tested positive for COVID-19. They are self-isolating. Three caught the virus from close contact. It’s not known how the fourth became exposed.
