OPP Marine Unit respond to boat in distress

OPP resounded to a pleasure craft in distress. It happened in Bay Lake when the craft was said to be taking on water. Further investigation revealed that two individuals were on a vessel in the middle of the lake when it started to fill with water and quickly became submerged. The parties were attended to by nearby civilians until officers from the OPP Marine Unit arrived and escorted them back to shore safely. The individuals were transported by ambulance to hospital as a precautionary measure.
