Greater Sudbury getting almost 1/2 million for Immigration Pilot Program

Greater Sudbury is receiving almost ½ million in funding ($480,746) in FedNor funding. It’s all to help New Canadians settle in Nickel City as part of the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot program. An initiative of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, it is a five-year project to encourage new Canadians to move out of more populous southern areas and into northern and rural parts of the country. Sudbury, North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie is all part of the program.
