Another day of high case counts of COVID-19 from Porcupine Health Unit, but some good news as well. 20 new COVID-19 cases were added but so were 47 recoveries. Fifteen people are in Timmins, three are in Moosonee, one is in the area of Cochrane, Matheson, Iroquois Falls and Smooth Rock Falls, and one is in the Hearst, Hornepayne area.
Meanwhile, a number of COVID-19 vaccination clinics are slated across the Porcupine Health Unit starting tomorrow. Pfizer vaccines are open to all people 12 years of age and older. Moderna clinics are open to adults 18 years and up. Appointments are required for the clinics. Appointments must be booked by 4 p.m. the day prior.
