Most of Ontario to move to Stage 1 on Friday, 12:01am

Most of Ontario will move into stage one at 12:01 am Friday, three days ahead of schedule. Among other changes, indoor shopping at non-essential businesses will be limited to 15%, outdoor dining will allow for four people per table, outdoor gatherings of 10 people will be permitted and Indoor religious gatherings will allow for 15% of Capacity. Once again, the changes will take effect at 12:01 a.m. on Friday and full details are on our website and Facebook page.
Public Health Ontario has reported 525 new COVID-19 cases in its latest report. Today’s update also includes 941 new recoveries and 15 deaths.
That said, the Porcupine Health Unit medical officer of health Dr. Lianne Catton says the PHU won’t be moving to the first stage just yet. In the third wave of the pandemic, the Porcupine Health Unit has seen a record number of cases. There was also an outbreak is at a business in the 900 block of Riverside Dr, where two people are confirmed cases that are related to the workplace.  No timeline on stage one has been given by the PHU.
