Police watching for the “Big-4” this weekend

Meanwhile, city police departments and the OPP are reminding the public to stay safe on roads, waterways, and trail systems this Labour Day weekend. Constable Marc Depatie says drivers should be focusing on avoiding what’s known as the ‘Big Four’, which include distracted driving, speeding, failure to buckle up, and alcohol/drug-impaired driving.

Police remind the public that these high-risk behaviors account for the majority of motor vehicle collision fatalities and are completely preventable.
