Drivers are reminded everywhere that as students return to class, buses will be back on the road. Police will be out and watching. Drivers are also reminded to watch their speed in school zones.
 

Police close off roadway due to a morning collision

Lasalle Blvd in Greater Sudbury this morning, between Crescent Park Rd and Notre Dame Avenue. It happened due to a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle earlier this morning. The Pedestrian is being treated at HSN. Police are asking residents to find alternate routes.
 

APH reports 7th COVID-19 death

Algoma Public Health is reporting the Algoma region’s seventh COVID-19 related death. No further information is being released. As of Monday afternoon, APH was reporting 10 active cases in the Algoma region.
 

Mohamed takes over at Charles C. McLean Public

Former Manitoulin Secondary school principal Jamie Mohamed takes the role of Principal this fall at Charles C. McLean Public School in Little Current. Mohamed joined the Board in September 1997 at Manitoulin Secondary School where he taught a variety of subjects. He has served as Vice-Principal of Manitoulin Secondary School and Espanola High School.

Barrie Police cancel Amber Alert

Barrie Police and the OPP have cancelled an Amber Alert. This is after a young girl last seen in Barrie, was found safe. Barrie Police released the info in a tweet.
 

Heavy Rainfall coming for North Bay and area

In North Bay, heavy rainfall could start this evening, with 30 to 50 mm expected by Wednesday morning. This rainfall is due to a low-pressure system that is expected to track east across Lake Superior.
