3 new cases of COVID-19 in Greater Sudbury

Rainbow District School Board one new case of COVID-19. It involves a staff member at Algonquin Road Public School. There is no evidence of transmission at the school at this time, and the school remains open for in-person learning. Students and staff in the Grade 1/2 room in Room 12 have been asked to self-isolate until Oct. 18.
Meanwhile, Cambrian College is also reporting another case of COVID-19 on its campus, bringing the number of active cases at the college up to two. The individual was last at the Barrydowne Road campus Oct. 6, on Level 4, Section 2.
Elsewhere, Public Health Sudbury and Districts says it is investigating a COVID-19 outbreak. It’s for anyone who spent time in Memorial Park as of Monday, Sept. 27. The potential risk of exposure is ongoing at this time. That said this exposure notice does not apply to individuals who just passed through the park.
