Town of Cobalt announces upgrades to Water-Treatment Plant

The Town of Cobalt, along with EXP Services Inc is announcing major upgrades that have been completed at the Cobalt Water Treatment Plant. A connecting event this weekend gave an opportunity for members of the public to take a tour of the plant and learn about the upgrades, which began in May of 2019 and wrapped up this September with a price tag of $1.5 million. The town’s share of the project’s costs came in at $20,000 with the bulk of the funding from the federal and provincial governments.
