More winter weather could be on the way – Environment Canada

As the temperature drops, the Homelessness Network of Sudbury is announcing their first Extreme Cold Weather Alert of the season, in effect for the next twenty-four hours. This Alert will put into action a short-term emergency plan to increase community services when the temperature is predicted to be below -15 degrees Celsius, below -20 with a wind chill.
Meanwhile, the travel advisory for many communities remains in place this afternoon. as light rain is forcasted to change to snow as Arctic air floods into the region and temperatures begin to fall. Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are expected by the time snow tapers off Friday afternoon.
