City of Sault Ste Marie lifts downtown parking fees

The City of Sault Ste. Marie is once again lifting parking fees for the downtown. From Dec. 20-31, free parking is available at all meters, pay and display units, and two-hour municipal parking lots in the downtown area. The holiday exemption does not include parking in handicap spaces without a permit, any identified no parking areas, fire routes and private (permit only) lots, the city reminds.
