The city of Sudbury city is asking residents to help reduce flood risks by managing stormwater. In short, they’re being asked to ensure any downspouts are in working order to prevent inflow into sanitary systems.

Cobalt town staff and its budget committee are currently putting numbers in place for its 2025 budget., It’s expected to be completed in early May. At the April 1 meeting of council, the town’s manager Steven Dalley put forward a timeline of steps leading up to the budget

City council is considering increasing user fees for its water and wastewater services by more than one per cent. That said, it would be starting next year, adding about $100 per year to the average homeowner’s bill. During today’s meeting of the finance committee a report will be presented on the long-term plan for water and wastewater services.

Collège Boréal has released its 2025-2030 strategic plan, entitled “Horizon 2030: Succeeding Together”. The college said with the strategic plan, it is reaffirming its leadership commitment to serving Francophones across the province.

More than a dozen snowmobile trail upgrades are on the way in Northern Ontario. The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) is receiving more than $553,000 from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) for snowmobile trail upgrades across the north.
