Cambrian College has launched a new two-year program to meet the high demand for skilled workers in building trades. The hope is to equip students with “advanced technical knowledge, hands-on experience and the business fundamentals.

White Woods Public School students in Sturgeon Falls will be returning to the White Woods building today. In a letter to parents, they add they’re looking forward to settling back into routine, noting bussing will be available to students.

Police is reminding residents to be mindful while using 911. While they are available 24-7 for dispatch, calls for a snowbank dig me out, or a ride to work do not qualify. Should someone pocket dial 911, callers shouldn’t panic but stay on the line and explain the situation.
