Essar Centre becoming GFL Memorial Gardens

New signage and branding is going up in Saut Ste. Marie, officially changing the name of the Essar centre to GFL Memorial Gardens. In May, city council approved a staff recommendation that will see the naming rights of the city’s downtown facility awarded to Green For Life Environmental Inc. Under the agreement, GFL will pay the city $75,000 a year for 10 years in exchange for naming rights.
