Overnight parking for some may be possible sooner than later in Greater Sudbury. Specifically, on side streets and other places previously curtailed by a winter parking bylaw. A motion could be introduced next week, suggesting that since snow clearing does not only occur during overnight hours, more leeway should be given to non-commercial vehicles.
Details: Motion is being introduced by Coun. Bill Leduc. It would boost the city’s efforts to cut down on impaired driving, the motion says, and the bylaw has already been changed to allow overnight holiday parking. Leduc says several residents have asked the restricted hours be changed to 2-6.
