100-year-old building comes down after roof collapse

Demolition of the former Northern Breweries has begun in Sault Ste. Marie. This is following a partial roof collapse at the Bay Street site late Wednesday morning. The property owner had decided to hire a contractor to tear down the more than 100-year-old structure soon than later. The company’s product has been shipped off-site.
