Christmas day is just over 2-weeks-out and students at St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School students and staff are doing what they can… for those far from home. This is as 700 Christmas cards have been sent to Canadian Armed forces personnel. While there is no word as to their arrival, the cards were written back in October to ensure they arrived on-time.
The initiative came about thanks to English teachers Sandra Hayden. She normally asks her students to write letters to soldiers in October so they can receive them before Remembrance Day.
