Low risk exposure possible from ONTC Bus on Tuesday, December 15th

Public Health Sudbury and Districts says there is a potential low-risk exposure to the virus for anyone who travelled on Ontario Northland bus #5502 on Tuesday, Dec. 15. This Ontario Northland bus service departed Toronto at 2 p.m. and had a scheduled arrival time in Sudbury at 7:15 p.m.  Anyone on that bus is being asked to self monitor.
 

Timiskaming Health Unit declares a COVID-19 outbreak at New Liskeard School

The Timiskaming Health Unit, has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at a New Liskeard school.  It is at École secondaire catholique Sainte-Marie. The announcement does not say how many cases have been confirmed at the school. The last day of school before the Christmas holidays was Friday.  The Health Unit says an outbreak is declared if there are at least two linked, lab-confirmed cases in students, staff or other visitors at a school within a 14-day period. This matter is being managed by the Timiskaming Health Unit.
 

The North Bay-Parry Sound District Health Unit has announced its largest one-day increase

The North Bay-Parry Sound District Health Unit has announced its largest one-day increase in new COVID-19 cases on Saturday.  Eight new individuals who tested positive for COVID-19, seven from the District of Parry Sound and one from the Nipissing District.
 

Two new cases of COVID-19 announced from Public Health Sudbury and districts

Public Health Sudbury and Districts reported two new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. One of the new cases was in Greater Sudbury, while the other was in the Sudbury district. The health unit’s region includes Greater Sudbury, Espanola, Manitoulin Island and the District of Sudbury.
 

The community of Desbarats outside Sault Ste Marie is under a boil water advisory

The community of Desbarats outside Sault Ste Marie is under a boil water advisory. This is following repairs to a water main break. The work was done Saturday. The advisory will be in place until further notice.
 

City of Sault Ste Marie residents being told – don’t put your trash on the road

The City of Sault Ste. Marie is putting out a friendly reminder to residents when it comes to garbage pick up.  Evidently some have put cans and bins in the road, only to be knocked over by Public Works. They need to be placed on the driveway, or cub. They cannot be blocking sidewalks or laneways.
