First case of COVID-19 UK variant found in Greater Sudbury

Public Health Sudbury & Districts has confirmed it’s its first COVID-19 UK variant. This is following Jan. 25th report of a possible case of a more highly transmissible strain of COVID-19. In addition, Public Health has been notified of three further possible cases in individuals in the area. Two are individuals who had returned from international travel who were completing quarantine.
Among COVID-19 Case counts for today, Public Health Sudbury and Districts is reporting 2 new cases of the Corona-virus. Both are in Greater Sudbury, both are outbreak related.
Meanwhile, the North Bay Parry Sound District is reporting 2 new cases of COVID-19. One in Nipissing and one in Parry Sound District.
