It has yet to be seen as to whether downhill ski hills in Greater Sudbury will open next week. The Lively Ski Hill and Adanac Ski Hill have not opened this year due to ongoing pandemic restrictions. There is hope that with the easing of those restrictions next week, they will be able to get the season going.
Meanwhile,
Searchmont Resort near Sault Ste. Marie is calling it a season. While there’s plenty of winter left, the currently lockdown… means it won’t be feasible for Searchmont Resort to operate for this season. The resort says that they will continue with the planned infrastructure projects so that we will be bigger and better for the 2021-2022 season.
