6 new cases of COVID-19 today in Greater Sudbury

There were 6 new cases of COVID-19 in Greater Sudbury. Meanwhile there were no new cases of COVID-19 announced by the North Bay Parry Sound District and 18 cases resolved.
 
Meanwhile, one new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at St. Charles College. This means where are now two cases of the virus currently affecting the high school. The infected individual is currently self-isolating. The Grade 12 PSK4U class has now been dismissed until March 9.
 
The health unit is also reporting three more COVID-19 outbreaks in the area. Two are at Lasalle Secondary School and Cyril Varney Public School in Greater Sudbury. This follows the dismissal of all students and staff at both schools Feb. 24. The ongoing investigation has identified one additional case of COVID-19 at each of Lasalle Secondary School and Cyril Varney Public School.
 
Meanwhile,  a COVID-19 exposure warning is going out to travels from Toronto, to Timmins… through Greater Sudbury. The trip was made Wednesday. The Porcupine Health Unit issued an advisory Friday indicating potential high-risk exposure to any passengers who were on this bus. It left Toronto for Sudbury at 11 a.m. and Sudbury for Timmins at 6 p.m. on the 24th. Individuals who were on these buses are asked to self-isolate immediately and call their public health unit.
