Public Health Sudbury and Districts added just 4 new cases of COVID-19 today, including 40 recoveries. 4 cases have screened positive for a variant of concern.
Public Health Ontario has reported 4,505 new cases of COVID-19 today. Meanwhile, new federal modelling shows that variants of concern make up more than half of recently reported new COVID-19 infections.
Elsewhere,
Fifteen new COVID-19 cases and 12 recoveries are being reported by the Porcupine Health Unit today. Twelve of the new cases are in Timmins and three people are in the area of Cochrane, Matheson, Iroquois Falls and Smooth Rock Falls. The exposure of 10 cases is under investigation, three people are the contact of a confirmed case, and two are community exposure.
