NBRHC Postponing all surgeries requiring hospital stay

The North Bay Regional Health Centre is postponing all surgeries requiring a hospital stay. Effective today, it’s all in response to an increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations.  A statement from the hospital Tuesday on social media says it has seen a “dramatic” increase in patients with COVID-19 admitted to the health centre. This is as 23 new cases were reported, and active cases reached 70. That makes for 98 cases in the last 14 days. The case total is 557 with 70 active cases. Five cases have resolved.
