Invites going out for municipal open house

The City of Greater Sudbury is inviting the public to attend a virtual town hall. It’s all to look at the municipal budget, how they got to where they are and what’s next. The virtual meeting will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, at which time a link will be posted on the city’s website. City administration’s proposed budget for 2022 includes a 3.2-per-cent property tax increase, a special capital levy increase of 1.5 percent and a water and wastewater rate increase of 4.8 percent.
