
The City of Greater Sudbury’s Youth Advisory Panel seeks new members from Wards 1 and 9. The panel consists of 12 members, one from each ward. Members must be 13 to 18. Two city council members also sit on the panel.

A two-vehicle collision has closed the eastbound lanes of Municipal Road 35 in Azilda for a time today. Traffic ws being detoured to Notre Dame Avenue West. Meanwhile a Multi-vehicle collision closed Hwy 69 near Britt this morning. The closure was at Highway 526, near Britt Station, north of Magnetawan First Nation, just south of Station Lane
The North Bay Police Service has received calls about what they’re calling a daycare scam. Posted to social media, the on-line link for a company called ‘Happy Hearts Child Care’ advertises childcare in our area at an affordable rate. Police say it’s all a scam and to just hit delete.
The Ontario government is teaming up with three First Nations and Ontario Power Generation on pre-development work on two new hydroelectric generating stations. It’s on the Mattagami River system. Energy minister Stephen Lecce was part of an announcement at the Sandy Falls station in Timmins. He says the new stations will be the first in ten years and generate 430 megawatts of electricity.
