Health Sciences North is among a number of Hospitals experiencing delays due to an issue with the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. The system plays a vital role in accessing important patient information, care plans and medical history.

Work on Callander’s Swale Street is expected to begin this spring and end by the fall.
Exact dates have not been set yet, but the town has selected a construction company for the work, is based in Cache Bay, West of Sturgeon Falls.

The cause remains undetermined after a mobile residential fire overnight on Old Highway 17 North. Shortly before 1:30 a.m. today, Sault Ste. Marie Fire crews were able to contain and put out the fire, which was in the 100 block of Old Highway 17 North. PUC Services and EMS were also on scene with paramedics called for precautionary reasons.
