A special Elliot Lake city council meeting has been called for today. It’s all to receive a presentation about the provincial expansion of Strong Mayor Powers. The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing says [Strong Mayor Powers] will help with building more homes, transit and other infrastructure across Ontario. The powers would kick in May 1.
