Missing Man – Tyler Haney, 26

Greater Sudbury Police officers are looking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing city man.
Tyler Haney, 26, is white, 5-foot-11, 160 pounds, with a slim build, brush cut blond hair, facial scruff with scar on left cheek and a broken front tooth. He was wearing dark blue jeans, reflective construction jacket and dark brown boots. Contact police immediately at 705-675-9171 if you know where he is.
 

A shooting on former church property

Authorities in Sault Ste. Marie are looking into a shooting at a former Catholic church rectory. It happened Saturday. Police were called to the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel to find one man suffering from a gunshot wound, police say. He was taken to Sault Area Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No further information has of yet been released.
 

Vehicle drives into Sudbury Business

Sudbury Police are continuing to investigate a building, vehicle run in. It happened on the 400 block of Lasalle Blvd yesterday morning. The owners have closed all business until further notice. The driver of the vehicle has been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
 

New building coming for Timmins La Ronde

The La Ronde in Timmins has begun fundraising for a new home. That’s according to a press release issued Friday, announcing the start of the fundraising campaign. The project, worth 4.5 million will include an art gallery, administrative offices and a multi-use room with a professional stage.
 

Caisse Populaires joining forces

Twelve Caisse Populaires in Northeastern Ontario says they are merging. Outlets in North Bay, Mattawa and Bonfield are all coming together. Early reports say that there will be no job loss, before during and after the change, it will be business as usual. The changes take effect January 1st, 2018.
 

Goldcorp asking for another extension

Goldcorp in Timmins is set to present to city council this week. The group is asking council for a third deadline extension for the Hollinger Pit project landscape plan. In a statement the group says they’re hoping to have until to the end of 2018.
