North Bay city council has awarded a near $11-million contract to a Construction Company for the reconstruction of Cassells Street. Council approved the tender Tuesday with the lowest of two bids. The city is undergoing a two-year re-construction of Cassells Street in order to help deal with increased traffic volumes.
Cassells Street is the last of several roads leading through the downtown core — including Algonquin Avenue, Oak Street, McIntyre Street and Fisher Street — to be upgraded to arterial cross-sections.
