Flooding watch put into place – Conservation Authorities

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in the North Bay area has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement. Despite the blast of colder weather today, a continuing warmer trend along the possibility of precipitation could result in increased runoff and increased levels and flows. While no flooding is anticipated based on the current conditions, the warning is in effect until March 29.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry – Sault Ste Marie District has issued a flood watch for the Goulais River. The watch was issued Thursday afternoon. It is a result of a cold front in the area that is expected to give way to warmer weather and rain in the forecast tomorrow.
