A Portion of the Project on hold

Greater Sudbury city council has sent a portion of the proposed Elgin Greenway overhaul back to the drawing board. While the plans to renovate the Riverside Drive underpass have been approved, the cost of the downtown project proved to be the issue, numbers that started at $3.7 million in 2013 but have since risen to $8.5 million. A pared down proposal is slated for the June 13 meeting.
