A resounding “no” has come from College Faculty this week, refusing to accept an offer that would have ended the nearly five-week job action. This is after the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, which represents the 12,000 workers, had recommended the colleges’ contract proposal be rejected.
Talks between the colleges and the union broke down on Nov. 4, prompting the colleges to request the final offer vote. After 86 per cent of faculty rejected it… there is no definitive word as to the next move… as some 500,000 students remain out of class.
