Former First Nickel receives record fine

Here in the North, the company that once owned and operated Lockerby Mine has been fined a record $1.3 million dollars. This is following the deaths two miners in May 2014 who worked for Taurus Drilling Services, were killed in the fall of ground. First Nickel had hired Taurus Drilling for production mining work at Lockerby. First Nickel Inc. went out of business in 2016.
