Nickle Belt MPP calls on Goverment to cancel “Health Care Cuts”

January 1st is two weeks away, and Nickel Belt MPP France Gélinas is calling on the Ford government’s Minister of Health, Christine Elliott, to cancel what she calls planned public health cuts. Reports indicate that previously 100 per cent covered programs will only receive 70 per cent of their budget and municipalities and will have to pay the remaining 30 per cent. Gélinas told us, that just won’t do.

The Minister of Health responded by saying there are no cuts to public health, but that have simply eliminated vacated positions.
