The Timmins Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a person who has been reported to them as missing. The Timmins Police Service would like to determine the current whereabouts of Kanina Manchester, age 16.
She is described as:
an aboriginal female person
5’7 tall – weighing approximately 150lbs
brown eyes
long brown hair
has a tattoo of a non-specific image on her foot.
 

Power Outage in Sudbury

Sudbury Hydro says the power was punched out for roughly 330 customers early this morning. It happened in the South End of Greater Sudbury which is affecting from the Nepahwin Ave/Paris St intersection to the 4 Corners and then south on Regent St to the Cedar Pointe Mall. Mostly businesses are affected however it was effecting some residential areas, including a few apartment bldgs. The cause is thought to be a tripped breaker.
 

Swiss Chalet Closed in North Bay… for now

Swiss Chalet in North Bay remains closed indefinitely. This is after a vehicle drove into the front of the Algonquin Avenue location. While the details of the accident are not available… Swiss Chalet says a restoration, crew is working to repair the damage.
 

Sault Ste. Marie man busted on drug charges

A Sault Ste. Marie senior is facing drug charges. This is after a search warrant was executed at James Street residence. Estimated street value of the narcotics is about $4,860. The 60-year-old was also found to be in unauthorized possession of a weapon. He has been charged.
 

Sudbury should be “Bear Wise”

Greater Sudbury Residents now join others in the north who need to be “Bear Wise”. This is after a number of Bruins were spotted in Azilda this week. Experts and city officials say that winter season is over, and the animals are coming out of Hibernation.
