Male busted for fuel theft, auto theft, flight from police

A 23-year-old driver was stopped in North Bay this week, down from Temagami following an incidence of alleged fuel theft. Officers located the vehicle on McKeown Avenue in the City of North Bay. The driver fled on foot when police arrived but were later taken into custody. The vehicle was found to be stolen from Toronto.
Officers were assisted by members of the North East Region Emergency Response Team, (ERT) and North Bay Police Service. The accused was later located on Cassels Street in North Bay. The suspect fled on foot again. Officers located the suspect a short distance away and effected an arrest.
