OPP from across the Province are warning residents of increased scam calls as for many, it’s tax season. Constable Phil Young is the Community Safety Coordinator for SCAM alerts and told us, scam calls are on the rise.
Young says in many cases, residents are told that if they don’t pay… they could be arrested.
Police are reminding the public, not to engage with scammers, but to simply hang up and when in doubt, call your bank directly.
